There are very few things I liked about my ever growing body so taking pictures of me wasn't high on my priority list. However, I didn't mind my growing bump so Brittany and I took a few pictures for documentation purposes:

Instant (almost) gratification

Ben and I spent the weekend spreading bark dust. It's amazing how much nicer things look. Here is the front of our house: 

The most improved area of our yard is this back corner. A few years ago I posted about some work we had done and it's come a long way.

All about baby

With 17 days left until my due date we are getting more and more excited to meet our little girl. I've had a family shower, a work shower and a church shower and it's very evident this girl is loved beyond belief. I don't have any pictures of the first two baby showers, but the church shower was thrown by my good friends Charissa and Mallory so you can see the pictures from that shower on Mallory's blog. I do have pictures of all the great gifts we received:

My grandpa bought her this play set from Costco. It came in 6 boxes and a DVD instruction manual. It has yet to be assembled but we figure we have time since it will be a little while before she'll be out playing on it.

The difficult task about having a daughter who is so loved is finding space to put all her things (not that this is a bad problem to have). Enter her nursery. Ben did a great job painting the nursery (after conceding to my desire for a pink nursery). My amazingly talented mom made the bumpers, crib skirt, quilt, and window valence for this room.

My mom and I spent about 2 hours making this lamp shade. I'm so pleased with how it turned out.

I'm closing in on 38 weeks pregnant but as of 37 weeks, baby is the size of a watermelon.

Crater Lake

For our six year anniversary (which was yesterday), Ben planned a trip to Crater Lake since I had never been and always wanted to go. There was still a lot of snow there which made for some beautiful scenery.

Here is the lodge we stayed at which over looks the lake. It was initially built in 1918.

30 weeks

I've officially hit 30 weeks and entered the final trimester of this pregnancy. Here's proof of my growing belly:

Yesterday I came out wearing one of Ben's button down shirts with a belt tied above my belly and asked if he liked my new shirt. He said yes -not realizing it was his shirt. Maybe a little sad I can now fit into my husband's clothes.

We're making slow progress on the nursery. I can't wait to have it finished but it doesn't look like it's going to be done any time soon.

Better late than never

This is hardly relevant anymore since it's no secret we are having a girl but I'm finally spending some time with my new video camera to learn how it actually works.

So, without further ado, here is how we told our family what the gender of our baby is:

Our last big adventure...

...for a while anyways. With the baby coming we know things will change but we sure had a great trip. We just got back from a week long vacation to Kauai with Ben's parents and had the most wonderful time. The weather was great, the company was great, and the food was plentiful.

We stayed in a condo with this view from the lanai.

We saw beautiful sights at the Waimea Canyon, National Botanical Gardens, and Wailua Falls.

We also had plenty of beach time where Ben snorkeled and I laid on the beach (notice I omitted any pictures of me in a swimsuit on the beach-you're welcome)

Ben also had time to golf with his dad while Becky and I rode around in the cart.

And we got to see another natural blow hole. I say another, because we've already had the opportunity to see blow holes on Maui and in Mexico. They are all quite cool.

And now that we are back we can begin to focus on the nursery, which I am so excited about since my mom has made all the bedding.
